Hello
10/07/2012

Just to brighten your day.

I am now listing lots of new fabric designs and collections including a fabulous paisley design  from Design Forum's Tuscany Collection called Odalisque but saying that,  I'm  not quite sure what to make or think of Kaleidosope, same Tuscany  Collection.  A paint chart ? certainly a good taking point or ice breaker for the office wall.  Why not check it out and see what you think.

Art of the Loom having enjoyed  great  success with their wool collections are now bringing out  throws to co-ordinate with their most popular designs, will be listing some  this week

More Biggie Best cushions coming, all very reasonably priced for a spot of colour

Will catch up with you again soon

Spring
15/03/2012

Hello again

With winter now a fading memory  its such a pleasure to see the garden waking up  to a host of new green shoots, fresh delicate spring flowers and sprouting weeds!!  however here at Prickly Pear Interiors we are now turning our thoughts to sorting out stuff for our stall at the Wonderwool in Wales weekend  April 28th -29th 2012 . I just love the atmosphere of this event and if you are the least bit interested or involved  with the word Wool , then this is one event not too be missed.

As always Spring time brings in more new designs and collections , G P & J Baker Lifestyle one of our supplier's  has  really got the Bantam Chicken designs spot on so very in touch with the latest crazy of keeping chickens in the back garden and for me this takes me back to my roots, great and you don't have to get out on a cold morning to take them for a walk !! what more would you need.

Since I was here last we have taken on more suppliers including a new  jewellery range, Handmade by Hayley why not check it out and maybe treat yourself

Over the next months we will be enlarging our fabric and wool throws ranges so watch this space as they say

Will be back soon

Holidays
16/07/2011

Summer school holidays are here again and as always down comes the rain  however I always think that this is also a good time to take stock of all these housey jobs that there has never been time to take in with all the busy comings and goings that go with school life.

If redecorating seems too much to take on, why not give that  room a new lease of life  by running up  some fresh  new curtains  Prickly Pear Interiors has now  got some lovely new cotton prints in from Clarke & Clarke at budget  price and if sewing is not your thing we can give a very conpetittive price for making up those new curtains and cushions.

Coming from a sheep farming world I just love the wool fabrics and it is becoming more obvious that  wool has been  a very underestimated eco-friendly  fibre,  coming in soon are some more check designs  from Art of the Loom  complimented by a new range of wool cushions, makes you feel cosy already.!!

Taking about  natural eco-friendly  fabrics , Bronte by Design / Moon  have just launched a range of Pure Alpace Throws pure luxury, the fibre of gods, would make a wonderful present for someone special at Christmas but on a more normal note we are now stocking some lovely natural wool throws at a reasonable price.

August is our quiet month with holidays, gardens, seaside or just fun and time to look for new products for Christmas, so will catch up again soon

Spring
15/05/2011

Hello again and no I have not been away on a gap year, if only !!!

Christmas and the bitter cold of the winter seems a distant memory now but I'm sure you will agree the phase " layer your clothes" certainly came into its own.

April was a busy month for Prickly Pear Interiors we took part in Wonder Wool in Wales, a brilliant show, good hot weather, loads of customers and not just from the local surrounding district but coach loads from as far away as Cornwall and north of the border.

Trading was good and we met lots of nice people so hopefully I will be there again next year.

There is now such a  passion for wool, not only for knitting yarn but also for the wool fabric. Wool fabric designs have come along way in recent years, please take time to view Abraham Moon's 2011 new collection Boutique and also Design Forum's plain wool collection Hebrides, colours are stunning.

New this week on Prickly Pear Interiors are the  co-ordinating wool cushions, more colours and cushions coming soon

I just love the wools, maybe thats because I was born into sheep farming and also married a farmer, it was magic when the first lamb of the season was born, it gave you this wonderful feeling of new life for another year with hope of good things to come.

Since I last wrote a blog we have moved on with some new fabric suppliers Art of the Loom lovely wool checks, Nouveau more traditional wool check designs, G P & J Baker's lifestyle Collection , contemporary designs,  trimmings ,  co-ordinating  wallpaper  sensible prices to match your budget

Do you belong to knitting group or proud of your passion?  take a look at our new badges/ brooches from Sumptuousity , they are just ideal for that little gift to pop in with the card.  More themed badges coming in.

Will be back soon.
